ADVANTAGES
Over the last 17 years in Israel, a principally new approach to the choice of optimum technologies for natural water purification, as well as tertiary treatment of waste waters has been developed under the guidance of Prof. Kolodny. A number of patents have been obtained for water treatment technologies and water treatment devices. These technologies exclude completely or partially the application of chemical agents for water treatment.
We have developed technologies for treating natural, industrial and waste waters based only on physical methods of water treatment. These include action on water by a magnetic field, an electric field, ultra-violet radiation with intensity hundred times higher than the existing technologies (which necessitate high water transparency), ultra-sound water treatment, water treatment by laser and different combinations of these physical methods of water treatment.
The cost of the water treatment systems developed is considerably lower than the cost of conventional systems existing in the international market. The technologies proposed are ecologically safe and the water treatment system is composed of ready-made modules engineered 90% from plastics. Module productivity is not limited.
Plastics for manufacturing filters, reactors, cyclones, mixers, settling tanks and other equipment are acid- and alkaline-resistant and do not react to high or low temperatures (within reasonable limits). Corrosion of the equipment is fully eliminated. Water consumption for internal needs, e.g., with filters exploitation, is decreased from 3-5% in conventional systems to 0.75-1.2% in our technologies. In tertiary treatment of waste municipal waters after complete biological treatment, our modules achieve a decrease of BOD (VOD) from 20 mg/l to 3-5 mg/l, and the quantity of suspended substances (TSS - total suspended solids) from 18-20 mg/l to 2-3.5 mg/l.
The installations are compact and are 3-4 times smaller than conventional ones.

- Proprietary water purification schemes.

- Disc-type filtering modules.
- Thin-layer modules for water settling and clarification.
- Acoustic filters.
- Proprietary coagulant and flocculant cocktails, permitting to save 40-70% coagulants and flocculants consumption.
- Regimes of water treatment by coagulation and flocculation (6 regimes) permitting:
- to decrease reagents consumption by 70%
- to increase filtering cycles of filtering modules by 1.5-2 times
- to decrease washing water consumption up to 0.5-1%
- to decrease sludge quantity two-fold and improve its water yield during sludge treatment
- to lower energy consumption during preparation of working solutions of reagents and during their dosage and mixing with water by 10-12%
- to lower energy consumption during filters back-wash and precipitate dewatering by 20-25%
